It looks just like the fringe used on the original Victorian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and other antique and vintage lampshades, and is not only perfect for recreating these shades, but wonderful on stretch-style (lined) shades, hexagons, hardbacks, any style of lampshade, as well as scarves, shawls, clothing, costumes, draperies, upholstered furniture, bed canopies and skirts, and other home decor.

This fringe looks lovely on its own, or creates a beautiful backdrop for bead fringe, scattered strings of beads, and beaded and other tassels. Consisting of fine, twisted rayon strands, it comes in creamy white, the color of the upper part of the fringe on this shade, but is easily dyed with any fabric dye, can be tea dipped to give it an antiqued look, or bleached pure white. It's available in four lengths. The shade above has the 7" (18 cm) version—the most popular length; this shade has 9" (23 cm), and the shade below, 4" (10 cm).
